Young and Old…

That is Henry, he is as cheeky as he looks. Henry likes to point at cows and say: “Cow”. Henry is my son and I love showing him everything that Ocean Farm and the south coast has to offer.

Henry is now 2.5 years old. He was great down here as a non-moving baby, then a nightmare as a self-destructive toddler, with lots of drops and stairs and things to navigate, but now he is a little more self sufficient and Ocean Farm suits him well.

I always say children are welcome, but Ocean Farm is not great for the true toddler.

This is Henry a few weeks ago. He is exploring the area around the sheds. Minutes before this, he fed the horses some carrots and stomped in a puddle.

And this is Oscar, my older son, back when he was a true toddler. Oscar is not appreciating the horses as much as our friends are; and that is fine.

The point I am trying to make in my hamfisted way is that Ocean Farm is not all about weddings and parties, it is also a pretty good place for families.

Autumn, as I always say, is my favourite time of the year down in Gerringong.

Clear skies, warm weather, fewer people and the sea can be rather calm.

And so this concludes my photo essay “My Boys at Ocean Farm”.
